Artist's Comments

This is my first painting ever! (aside from the finger paintings and third-rate watercolors I used to do when I was a kid.) I chose Kispy Kreme Dounuts as my subject for 2 reasons. First, Krispy Kreme is a big staple in pop culture (here in Illinois) and I'm facinated by pop culture. Secondly, when it comes to artistic styles, I'm a romantic. I like things reduced to their most simple and elegant state. And in my opinion, there is nothing more romantic than a Krispy Kreme dounut. Mmmm.....donuts.

incredible for a first painting and make sure that Homer Simpson knows that it's a painting.
ahhhhh krispy kremes are soooooooooooo good but they don't make them in alaska to bad

a krispy kreme donut is the most romantic thing for u?.....lol.....awesomeness.....haha...;).........and i could SSSOOO go for one right now...thanx a lot....uh......:D

i completely agree, krispy kremes are unbelievabley romantic... and sexy as hell! this painting is incredible... so realistic. after seeing it, i'm literally considering taking a krispy kreme run...

Mmmmm donuts. This is a fantastic painting. Ive never eaten a krispy kreme since they've only just arrived here in london, but that looks fantastic. What medium did you use? You've captured the light beautifully and your composition is beautifully balanced.
